Founded by Gary Lin in 2022, Lineage is a development consulting and construction management firm based in Seattle, Washington. Lineage aims to unearth value through every step of the real estate process for clients and partners.

Fee development services include acquisition, market analysis and due diligence, entitlement strategy and execution, community and government relations, and design management.

As a boots-on-the-ground construction management and owner’s representative, Lineage brings a wealth of experience to the table in nearly every market type and sector while implementing industry best practices, detailed project oversight, and day to day cost and schedule analysis.

About Gary

A true real estate aficionado, Gary’s career has encompassed an array of leadership roles: from superintendent at a major general contractor to executive vice president of an international development firm. He has a depth of experience with many project types including multifamily, high-rise, commercial office, life science, historic renovation, and education and civic projects. His responsibilities span the lifecycle of real estate from acquisitions to entitlements, capitalization, design and construction, leasing, and disposition.

At last tally, Gary’s career stats include entitling/developing over 5.1M square feet of commercial office, life science, and civic projects, 3,470 apartments and condo units delivered or in planning, and managing over $1.7B in construction value.

Gary was a key member of multiple award-winning projects and firms, including a NAIOP National Developer of the Year award at Touchstone, a Seattle-based development firm.

Rooted in the local community through advocacy and volunteerism throughout his career, Gary has been involved with organizations such as Chief Seattle Club, Community Roots Housing, Construction for Change, and Hunger Intervention Program, among others. He has mentored young real estate professionals through the local NAIOP Washington State Chapter and the University of Washington Runstad Department of Real Estate.
